You may have thought that this section would be quite extensive with knots for all puposes and occassions. I thought it would be more usefull just to show you the basic knots that I personally use for all of my fishing. There are lots and lots of knots that you can use for your fishing, and a quick search on the internet will furnish you with more knots than you could probably imagine you'd ever use,but these are the four knots that I use all of the time to tie my hooks and swivels. The one knot I use for shockleaders, and the one knot I use when tying snoods for small fish. There are hundreds of variations of knots but these are quite easy to tie and will serve very well for generals ea fishing.

Now I've used these knots for decades and refer to them with the names that I was told way back in the 60s and 70s,so they may not coincide with the names,(which may well be the correct names),that you'll hear others use and probably see on other sites. But don't worry, the knots don't know this.
