The intention of this site was always just to give out a few ideas which people could base their own designs on depending on what types of material that they could lay their hands on.Almost any time when you have made something, you soon realise what improvements you can make to your original design. The update pages are just simply to show some of these very changes that I have made after I've used some of the projects "in the field" as it were.

The Roly Pole

The original design of this worked perfectly well, but the length of the pole was always a problem,it certainly could have been longer to help with it's efficiency. To this end,the second version of the pole utilised an old telescopic landing net handle. This solved the length problem,(now extending to 9 feet),and made transportation of the pole much easier too as it squeezes into just over 3 feet when closed.

And then seeing as the new handle worked much better,a re-design of the roller using an empty line spool and bracket completed the new design.
