Shrimps can be caught in rock pools in summer in the East
Neuk or on beaches by walking backwards through knee deep water,shufling your feet in the sand and dragging a net behind you.They
range from a couple of inches to around 4 inches. They can be frozen to use as winter baits or as part of cocktails,but I
find them of most use when wrasse fishing. You can just hook the small ones by inserting the hook between all the legs,and
out the back,or larger ones by using the bait needle again like this.
