This is the very simplest of rigs and I use it when the rough ground is extremely rough and
I fully expect to lose a bit of gear. A size 1/0 swivel with a 35lb mainline and 50lb snood,and that's it. The swivel to sinker
depth is variable from around 2 ft to 4 ft,and the snood length between 6 inches in rougher weather on meatier ground,to maybe
16 inches when calmer and clearer.
