The term 'bait needle' is probably self explanitory.It's just a length of metal,generally between 9 inches and 12 inches long with a rounded end and a hollow end.The idea is simply to push the round end through your bait until it is fed right onto the needle,and then you insert the hook point into the hollow end, and, while holding everything under tension, you slide your bait down the needle,over the hook point and up over the hook. Many different baits can be used with a needle,but worms and mussels in paricular are very easily to use with one,and usually end up as a better presented bait.
