How To Get There

Very easy to get to,just find the well signposted Ruby Bay car park in Elie, and then walk out towards the lighthouse. As you get towards the light, look to your left and you'll see an old stone building which was actually originally built as a changing place for some local rich Lady. (hence the name). It's only about a further 200 yards from the lighthouse and you'll see it easily. (in fact the top of the lighthouse is just visible inland a bit)

Lady's Tower seen from the east on the St Monans road

In this picture you can see the Lady's Tower clearly and the two top spots to fish from while you're at it.The sandy bay in front of it comes off the beach here which is known as Ardross. It covers well over at high water and will see flounder and coley. The rocks out seawards from it are actually like a wee island when the tide is up and produce cod, coley and pollack.Higher the tide here the better, but may be a bit dodgy for night fishing as there is not a huge amount of room on the sea side of the tower when fishing the cod mark.Worth a try though on an easterly swell in winter daytime.
