Again,buying bait clips is not something that will break the bank,but at 10p each and a days fishing on rough ground,it all adds up.
 
The simple way to get around this is buy a box of paper clips,which will cost you 50p or so,in which you'll get literally hundreds of clips.
 
Take a pair of snips or nail clippers and chop the clip into hook shapes.You'll get 3 from each clip.
 
 
 
 
 
 
Take a half inch cut from your plastic tubing and pass the hook and the line through the tubing.bend the end over to stop it slipping back off,and there you have your bait clip.
